Heartland Stampers Swap

I have been meaning to make it back to a Heartland Stampers meeting for a long time, but last week finally worked out in my schedule.  I had signed up for a card swap and I had my babysitter all lined up!  I made 15 cards for the swap and even embossed one of my leaves and it was super fast using the cricut Art Philosopy cartridge...I just love it and can't wait to get my hands on the newest cartridge from Close to My Heart.  I used a retired paper pack, but the stamp set I used for this card is called Harvest Happiness (C1463).  I can't wait to make more fun FALL things.

I can't believe school starts on Monday!  Don't let the busy fall stop you from taking some time for yourself.  My goal is to leave a project out on my desk that I can add to, even if it is only during ten extra minutes.  I am also going to complete more studio J layouts instead of trying to scrapbook every picture traditionally.  Contact me if you would like to learn more about how Close to My Heart can help you create faster, simpler and easier!!!

Had a blast in TX!

Mom, Eva and I had a blast in Texas at the CTMH convention.  I couldn't believe we were actually able to go.  We learned a lot and Eva was so good...especially since we were gone so long!  If you are like me, I know you can't wait to get your hands on the new idea book so you can start to make your wish list.  Leave a comment or send me an email if you would like me to save a book for you!  As of August 1, you can also go to my website and browse through all of the new things online!  Click here if you want to start shopping from home.

Some other fun things we learned are all about Studio J.  For those of you who aren't familiar with Studio J, it is a free online way to design scrapbook pages.  There are now express collections to help you scrapbook even faster and I am very anxious to make a few pages with Eva's pictures so that I can keep up:)  The cost of ordering is now only $6.95 per two-page layout, but the best thing is that you can go online to create and play and it is all free!  Click here to go and see all of the new improvements for yourself!

There is also a new Cricut cartridge!!!  I am still learning all of the fun things from the Cricut Art Philosophy, but I can't wait to get my hands on the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  It looked absolutely amazing and I have seen some really fun things made using it! It includes 700 images that incorporate many themes to help coordinate projects.  The cost of the cartridge is $99 and it comes with 3 coordinating stamp sets and 3 sets of coordinating Dimensional Elements.  The whole set can also be yours for 50% off if you have a qualifying party so make sure to book yours today!

I learned so many more fun things that I can't wait to share, so be sure to check back again to learn more.  Stay cool and happy crafting!!!

Mojo Monday

I saw the Mojo Monday 247 sketch and I just knew I had to give it a try!  I already had a circle cut and stamped with one of my favorite butterflies from the Delight set that we used during the July Cards and Cocktails.  They always have such fun sketches at the Mojo blog http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ ...even if I don't usually get the project posted on time!

Tummy Troubles

Being a new mom, I didn't really know what to expect with babies and spitting up.  Eva has seemed to suffer from "tummy troubles" from the beginning, and the past two weeks have only gotten worse.  She is now on medicine for acid reflux and the doctor thinks she might have lactose intolerance.  At first I was worried I couldn't nurse her anymore, but we are going to try giving her lactaid to help with the digestion.  Hopefully this will work and she can be the happy baby that I know she wants to be!!!  Has anyone else had these issues?  If so leave me a comment about anything you learned...I can't wait for her to outgrow some of these issues, but I don't want her to grow up either:)

June Cards and Cocktails

Here are just a sample of the fun cards we made this month at Cards and Cocktails!  It was very relaxing and everyone made at least five cards, with plenty of paper and supplies to make many more,  and all while enjoying a festive beverage and great conversation:)  The paper pack we used was Lucy X7149B and the stamp sets shown are Delight C1452, Card Chatter-Birthday D1475 and A Blossom A1121.  Even I was impressed by how many cards you can make from just one Close to My Heart paper pack...I made 16 and still had half of my paper left over!  This just makes me want to tell my hubby Kyle what a great deal my favorite hobby is and why I should order more stamps.  We haven't purchased a store bought card in years!  I hope to see you at cards and cocktails next month at 6:00 on July 26th when we will be making cards with the Pemberley paper pack.

No smiles...

We had Eva's three month pictures taken yesterday and I was so bummed because she wouldn't smile at all...no way...not for anything.  She is such a smiler too.  All you have to do is smile at her and she is ready with a grinner of her own.  Of course she didn't want to when it counted:)  babies, you just can't count on them!  Hopefully they get some good shots of her looking serious.  I wanted to share a few pictures I took in our yard earlier this month.  I am going to try to do another shoot soon.  My problem I have in our house is lighting.  Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Stampaganza!!!

Don't forget that June is Stampaganza month!  That means that for every two stamp sets you buy, you can get one for free!!!  Of course I had to take advantage of this and get some fun new sets.  I didn't have very many little boy stamps...and it seems like all of my friends are having boys so I needed to stock up.  One set I got was Roar! (D1505) and I have already used it to make some simple thank yous for some little boys!  I am sure it will get a lot of use for future little boy birthday parties!!!  Head over to my website if you would like to purchase this set or take advantage of the Stampaganza.

Baby Play Date!

We watched Eva's friend Sam for a couple of hours and got a taste of what it might be like with twins...wow!  I can say for sure that Eva is enough work for me right now:)  I am loving all of the fun pictures and can't wait to scrapbook them!  More baby love to come soon...
